But when it comes to ethical bribes, all too often, they are not read all the way through – and so they fail to do their job, which is to “sell” the product that’s advertised at the end.

In addition, in order to work as intended, they have to get into the hands of our prospects in the first place.

This means that we have to get them to sign up for our mailing list first, before handing over the PDF. And of course, not everyone signs up. Sigh.

So here are a few of my own personal tips…

At least this is what I did, and it worked like a charm:

1) Zero in on Kim’s 10X method!

What is that? It starts with articles. But it doesn’t stop there. And if you’ve been trying to get traffic, you probably have a ton of articles already published in various article directories or maybe on your blog.

And now, follow the next four steps to make the most of them — fast.

2) Find your winners

The first step is to find your winners. What do I mean by that? It’s not necessarily the articles that got the most views, though that will help too. Instead, find the ones that got the most click-throughs!

That means that they get a good response, and that’s what you want. There’s little point in spending a lot of time and energy in spreading around your losers all over the web.

But if you do that with the winners, watch out.

Case in point… my own article with the review of Kim’s Traffic Dashboard had my highest click-through rate ever, more than 50%! So obviously, I started right there

3) Optimize for your keywords

If you haven’t done so already, be sure to optimize your keywords. Yes, it helps to be in a lot of places, but it helps a whole lot more when people will find you in all those places on Google.

Oh, and just in case you’re prone to overdoing things… Don’t! Keyword stuffing is NOT going to get you where you want to go. Use those keywords about once or twice per hundred words at MOST. No more than that. But make sure they’re at the beginning and the end…

4) Work your way down Kim’s list

Kim lists a number of great strategies for getting your info out there. Pick one that is easiest for you to do, and start with that.

The principle behind Kim’s 10X method is to take your articles and turn them into a variety of different formats and then spread them around for the world to find.

She gives some excellent suggestions as to where exactly are the best places to publish them are, and I have to say that the results have been impressive — even though I barely scratched the surface of just this one module!

5) Decide: One at a time or several at once?

Should you focus on circulating one article at a time or should you do several at once?

How many articles do you have that really bring in the money. If it’s just one, get that one out there as fast as possible. But if you have several cash cow articles, why not get several of them ready and then publish them all while you are at each site, especially if they fall into different categories. That way, you’ll get more mileage for less effort.

6. Grab Your Bonuses!

I know a TON about getting traffic already, having studied this for a couple of years and scooped up a huge stack of products by some of the best marketers, and there were quite a few things in Kim’s Traffic Dashboard that I didn’t know yet.

Not so much the broad categories of techniques (having been a long-time student of some major internet marketing whizzes I’ve learned many of those insider secrets), but the details about how to actually do them, and additional places on where to implement them, are absolutely priceless and worth every penny of the (currently) modest investment.

For anyone who hasn’t already invested as heavily into learning about getting traffic, much of this will be new!

And then, Kim has included some killer strategies on how to really blast some major traffic to your site in a great big hurry. Love them!

About the format:

The whole program is modeled to some degree after Marlon Sanders’ Dashboards, at least on the surface.

It has 20 fields and when you click on them, you will find…

a) A video
b) A transcript of the video

The videos are great and very thorough, and the transcripts can be printed out so you can work with them as you’re implementing the strategies.

Note — a few transcripts are still missing, and so is at least one video (which has the notation that it is being uploaded as we speak). So the video should be there shortly, and I’m pretty sure that the transcripts won’t be far behind. Most of them are there, and so are almost all of the videos.

What about the techniques?

If you’re looking for the boring basics, you won’t find them here. Article marketing is mentioned only as a jumping-off point for some serious syndication strategies that will maximize your exposure exponentially.

And there’s nothing on Pay Per Click either. In fact, the vast majority of the techniques require no investment.

Isn’t it a huge pain to build your business one lead or subscriber at a time?

But how do you get traffic?  There are so many different ways, it’s sometimes hard to know where to start.  Maybe you’ve been working your fingers to stubs on the keyboard and still… the results aren’t always what we wish they were, especially once we consider all the work we’ve put into it.

Here are three power strategies on how to go about building that traffic the smart way along with resources that can help:

1)  Links bring traffic, and they help with Google rankings.  They help people find you out in the wild and wooly world of the World Wide Web, two ways: If people come across a link, they click on it, and presto: there’s your site. And ifyou have lots of links, Google will take notice and believe that your site is important, and it will start giving it higher and higher priority when it comes on where it’ll show up in search results. Between the three — link building, i.e., getting more links that will bring visitors to your site both directly and by way of Google once the links have started to propel you up to the front pages of Google, outsourcing some of the grunt work so you can spend your own time on more valuable activities that only YOU can do, and viral marketing — the ultimate power tool, you’ll find that your traffic can increase substantially in a very short time.

And last but not least — if you don’t have a blog yet, you’re REALLY leaving money on the table.

When I first found out about it, I was a bit concerned. Was this legit? Would it work? It sounded almost too good to be true. I mean, the last thing you want is a spam complaint, so it’s generally a good idea to be very careful about services that promise tons of subscribers overnight, especially if those subscribers come in the millions for just a few bucks. That’s a spam disaster waiting to happen.

But in this particular case, the answer to both of the above questions turned out to be a resounding YES! It is possible to accelerate your list building process and there are legitimate ways to do so. And yes, those legitimate ways are considerably more expensive, but, well, you won’t have to worry. And I found a service that meets both criteria and works really well.

I tried it, and now I’m a convert and my lists (note the plural!) are growing at the sort of brisk clip I had been hoping for all along.

Is it free? No. Is it expensive? Not very, especially not when you think of building your list as an investment and consider what it will help you earn over time…

Okay what the heck am I talking about? I’m talking about an organization, owned and run by a major authority in list building, where you can advertise your newsletter and people will sign up for it. Yes, really. They will. It’s a process called co-registration. And it’s totally legit.

Every day you’ve had sign-ups, they’ll send you a file with your new subscribers and you then add them to your autoresponder service.

And there’s the rub… Aweber, the most-used autoresponder service won’t allow what they call “purchased leads.” Technically, these leads are indeed purchased insofar as that you pay for them, but what you really purchase is the advertising and the logistic arrangement of having them gather up the leads, making them confirm their subscription and then passing them on to you. That’s very different from those other offers floating about on the internet (you know, the millions of email addresses for ten bucks kinds of offers).

So where CAN you import those links? Fortunately, my favorite shoppingcart system does allow you to import them. And yes, they’ll make them confirm AGAIN and only about a third or so of them will do so, so you’ll lose a few.

But hey, those people probably would have unsubscribed sooner or later anyway and probably wouldn’t have ever bought anything. So it’s not THAT big a loss. And on the bright side, that extra layer of protection will protect YOU — from spam complaints — so I’m not complaining.

How much does this cost then? Thirty-seven cents a lead, counting those they send you by email. Eventually, every lead I’m getting out of that co-registration system (i.e., every lead that actually confirms again and makes it onto my personal list) costs me about a dollar, maybe a little more.

And with expert opinion being that every subscriber on your list eventually averages you a buck a month in income (and potentially considerably more if you treat your subscribers well, which includes providing them with quality information and building a relationship with them), investing in leads through a co-reg service is such a no-brainer I can’t believe it took me so long to finally figure this out.

So that’s the secret. Obviously, I’m using the other list-building strategies too — I publish articles, and post on forums, and yes, I’m getting subscribers that way too, but co-reg just works like a charm and so much more quickly.

And that is important because I’m going to start launching my first teleseminar very soon (stay tuned), and I do want some people to show up!
