shiny objects ebookTiffany Dow’s Guide to Cashing in on Shiny New Object Syndrome may change how we make purchasing decisions – or at least help us make less guilty about what we buy.

Reviewing the sales page

Just looking at the sales page made me kind of giddy. You see, I’m a bona fide example of someone with Shiny New Object Syndrome. And so when I was reading the sales page, I went, Woo Hoo! And I could hardly make my way through the page fast enough to hit the “BUY” button!

Hence the skid marks… I felt spoken to right away.

The sales page is nice and clean looking, and the only flashy things on it are the header, the ebook cover, and the words.

And both header and ebook cover are actually nice and clean and understated, except for that image of, well, not sure what it is. It looks like a volcano of sorts, with a mountain consisting of dollar bills and a huge yellow/gold dollar sign erupting out of the top. Here’s the ebook cover:

And you can take a look at the whole sales page here:

Her headline: “Turn Your Addiction Into An Income”

About Tiff’s No Guilt Trip Approach

As I said, she had me from the get-go. And then, she elaborates about how people with shiny new object syndrome suffer from feelings of guilt – and the financial consequences of constantly spending too much money.

She points out that neither of these, buying too much and/or spending the money needs to be a problem – PROVIDED that we addicts actually do two things:

a) Use the shiny objects we buy
b) More specifically, make money with them

And her guide, she says, will help us with both all at once. So the bulk of this review series will be focusing on that aspect – does she deliver?

First, she elaborates on shiny new object syndrome, and in places, this letter is actually outright funny, even as she makes the ugly truth hard to miss. Here’s a quote:

You buy it, frothing at the mouth because it looks like such a GOOD product – something guaranteed to work! In fact, consumers have been leaving enough mouth watering reviews to drive you crazy with anticipation.

You don’t even know how or why it happens but one day you wake up and you’ve abandoned that product and just hit the “buy now” button for some other product that’s the next best thing.

For some, it’s a real blur – and it can hurt them severely financially.

That’s me! And lots of people. Sometimes, I even forget that I have certain products. I’ve bought a few more than once, and then had to sheepishly ask for a refund.

So how are we supposed to make money off our purchases?

By implementing them and then reviewing them. I may have said this last time, but here it is again. This is a nice one-two punch. Because putting them in practice means the end of our shiny new objects languishing on our hard drives.

And reviewing them will help us make money! And what about traffic. Well, Tiff promises that this will be no problem. We’ll get traffic practically by autopilot and build a loyal following! I can hardly wait to see if THAT is true!

Details, Details

She goes over what she’ll teach us, which includes how to set up the review blog and how to write the reviews so that all that magic will happen. One of the key words I keep coming across is “blunt.” And yes, Tiff’s reviews are indeed blunt, and I’m going to find it a bit of a challenge to be as blunt as she is, but I can certainly call ’em as I see ’em!

So yes, I sometimes get a bit annoyed by that self-congratulatory tone of just how blunt Tiff is. There! I can do it too.

The “Offer”

Finally, Tiff goes over some details of the offer. She promises that there will be no upsells and other such annoying things, and presents the price, which is $27 for a product that is basically a potential business in a box. She says she wants to make sure that everyone who needs it can afford it. Well, I’m not sure about “Everyone” but just about everyone would be able to plan for this and/or save up if money is REALLY tight.

A big red button at the bottom of the page beckons “CLICK HERE TO GET IT!” and I immediately made a mental note to try that line on some of my boring “ADD To CART” buttons 🙂

Tiff's Buy Now Button

And once again, if you want to check out the actual sales page for yourself, you can do that here:

Tiff’s Sales Page

I have to say that this sales page worked on Shiny New Object Addict me, and I can see how it might work on others too. In addition to the subject matter, I also liked how it explained exactly what would be on the other side of the “BUY button. Or at least, that’s the promise. Next time, I’ll go over what’s in the “box.”

See you very soon.
