It’s Independence Day – the 4th of July, or July 4th. And time to think about what independence means to you.
There are many ways to talk about independence. Do you want to be financially independent? Or at least own your own business?
Here’s something to ponder… Depending on how you set up your business, you may not be all that independent. Give it some real thought.
You may be trading in one employer for many different employers, all of whom want their stuff yesterday. Talk about stress.
I’m often thinking back nostalgically to my last position, which at the time I thought of as overwhelming, and now, in comparison, I appreciate the independence I had compared with some aspects of my business now.
So if you have a job and are getting paid well, and if you like your work, don’t jump ship too quickly.
There are ways to start buidling your sideline business while you still have the safety – and benefits – of a job.
If you do want some help with getting your independence more quickly, you may want to check out this very cool time management course, complete with a special day job eliminator bonus:

The thing is, if you want true independence, you need passive income; at least a good portion of your income should arrive in your bank account without daily slogging away at something.
And that brings me to another point…

Web Hosting and Independence
All too many people are still hosting their blogs and websites on OTHER people’s properties.
Do you have a blogger blog, for example. I don’t mind blogger blogs at all. They can be great.
Just make sure that’s not the ONLY blog you have.
You need a blog on YOUR own hosting account.
And the second thing… do you have hosting with the company that also provides your domain names?
Not a good idea. Why? You don’t want to put all your eggs in one basket, or give any one outfit too much power.
What if they decide they don’t like what you’re doing? They can shut you down.
But if you have your site hosted with someone else, you can simply set up hosting with another someone else and point your domains to the new place. Not a problem.
And you may have noticed I talk about hosting… Yes, you need hosting, and you need hosting with a friendly, reasonably priced hosting company that’s helpful and has people you can talk to preferably 24/7.
And I have hosting with a hosting company just like that, and now they’re even offering 40% off. Today. As an Independence Day Special.

That’s it. Get 40% off. Get your own hosting. And start your independent money site without having to worry about someone taking it down next week.
That way, you can truly get started with claiming your independence.
Happy 4th of July!
