Affiliate Marketing Made Easy… And Effective

make money with affiliate marketingAre you doing affiliate marketing? Are you making things too difficult for yourself? Here are a few tips on how to make affiliate marketing EASY… and effective.

The thing is that EASY alone won’t do it. You also have to approach it effectively, or else you won’t be earning any commissions. So how can you do that?

Start by following the five tips you find right below, starting with taking action (because without action nothing will be happening), using effective affiliate marketing strategies involving presell reports and listbuilding, and finally protecting your links and your affiliate sites. Let’s get started…

1) Take Consistent Action

The first and most important step is to take action. Obviously, you’ll also want to take the RIGHT action. But still… the best strategies aren’t going to work if you don’t actually apply them.

So whatever you do, come up with a plan that you can implement, and then do it.

Obviously, the easier the plan, the more likely you are to actually apply it – and the more likely you are to earn commissions. So I highly recommend some kind of “done-for-you” plan, at least as part of your affiliate marketing strategy.

You’ll see what I mean further down on the page.

2) Use Real Reviews And Presell Reports

Next, you’ll want to use REAL reviews and presell reports. The more you know about the product, the better you’ll be at creating those things.

If you’re not yet familiar with presell reports, read on. Not only will I explain them, but I’ll also tell you how you can get them.

Presell reports are special reports that provide some great answers to questions your ideal prospects have. If you are promoting a weight loss product, for example, give them some tips on how to accomplish an important aspect that perfect customers for this particular product will want answers to.

For example, the 5 best foods to eat to lose weight fast. Or how to stick to a weight loss plan. Or the three best tummy toning exercises.

And then, presell the product… Lure them onto the page. And obviously, pick a page that is compelling and will help you make the sale.

Once you send them there properly warmed up, you’ll find that your prospects are much more likely to buy.

3) Build A List

Another key step that’s often forgotten is to build a list. In exchange for your presell report, make them give you their email address so you can follow up with them.

And then, do follow up with them! Give them more tips, follow up on the tips you gave them, and nudge them towards checking out that sales page again. People often need to see it multiple times before they’re ready to go for it.

And, even better, once you have that list, you can also send them to OTHER sales pages for different but related products. This is good for those who didn’t think the first product was right, and it’s also for those who actually bought the other products. People who are passionate about something often buy multiple different products about the same thing.

If you’re interested in weight loss, how many weight loss books do you own? Personally, I own dozens! At least. And plenty more recipe books on my Kindle.

4) Consider Done-For-You Affiliate Marketing Packages

If you’re serious about affiliate marketing, you should be looking into done-for-you packages. Why? Because they make your job easier.

Yup, these are mine. Why do I refer to myself in the third person? Gosh, maybe so the search engine spiders will find me?

These are also known as Wordwizard’s Affiliate Promo Packs because I sell them on the Warriorforum, where I go by that name.

You can find a free one in the War Room, where you have to be a member (which costs $20/year and is well worth it):

And if you’d like to invest a measly $7 or so for TWO packs, you can get them here:

Which one should you get? I recommend getting ALL of them!

Mine don’t have them YET, but I might add them later, and if/when I do, I’ll send them to anyone who has signed up for the list. If you buy them, you’ll definitely get them. If you get the free offer (which doesn’t require a sign-up), you’ll get them if you do sign up for updates!

5) Use Affiliate Links Wisely

Yes, I mean it. You have to use affiliate links wisely.

First, this means cloaking them so people won’t try to steal your commissions. There are many ways to do that, and the two most effective ones are these:

a) Buy a domain and set up a redirect through that domain. Very effective and it looks very professional too.

b) Get a redirect software and set up a redirect through a domain you already own. You see examples of what this looks like when people say things like “Ilove.com/affproduct” With this system, you can run dozens and even hundreds of affiliate redirects through one domain name. Much cheaper.

And you’ll also avoid the kind of embarrassment I had to deal with when I forgot to renew an affiliate link and it was bought by some kind of x-rated biz, which ran a rather tasteless ad on it. Yikes!

c) Okay, I said two, but there’s one that’s less good but still viable, sort of: use those redirect links, like budurl, and so on. The only trouble is that you’re entrusting your links to a business not your own. If and when they change you might be out of luck.

Protect them from Google

Yes, protect your links from Google. Why? Because Google downgrades sites that have affiliate links. So avoid putting links on your sites.

How can you avoid that?

First, you can put presell reports on your sites instead of affiliate links, and then put your affiliate links INSIDE those reports… Just get people to sign up for your reports…

Second, you can use a very cool software I just discovered and I’m just writing a presell report for. Until it’s ready, you can Discover how to protect your links here.

Use either of these two strategies, or both, and you’ll be in good shape.

But the most important part is… USE what you’ve learned and make some commissions!
