Publicity Opportunity, Get Published & Your “First $100 Online” Story

April 20th, 2009

I just turned in my own “First $100 Online” story.  It’s about how I got started with making money online originally — way back in 2001, believe it or not.

I started by selling some of my no longer needed books on Amazon.com Marketplace, and I even wrote a book about it:

http://www.SellYourStuffAtAmazon.com

Here’s the cool thing:  My story will be in a book where 100 internet marketers tell THEIR “first 100 bucks stories” and I get endless copies of the book to sell too.

And here’s another cool thing: If you’ve made money online, you might have a great story too, and you too could get in on this.

One catch — you’ll have to be part of Willie Crawford’s Inner Circle, but that’something you should be anyway. It’s the coolest social network of marketers I’ve come across yet.  And I’m really regretting not having gotten involved earlier.

Soooo, where can you check it out?

http://www.MeetAGuru.info

And once you’re in, go to the forum and look for the “contributor’s wanted” thread, which is VERY easy to find.

What else is there in the forum? Potential JV partners galore, new friends, help with questions, and lots more.

I’ll write more about it soon.

Elisabeth

Another Twitter Tip Post: How To Manage All Those Followers…

April 19th, 2009

Another Twitter Tips Post…  this time on followers and what to do if you need to “manage” them.

href="http://lisa711.tdecoded.hop.clickbank.net"> src="http://www.twitterdecoded.com/Images/486x60.gif"
border="0" />

It sounds a bit cold, but here’s the thing.  Twitter lets you only follow so many more than follow you.  So you need to be able to unfollow some of the people you followed who don’t follow you back so that you can follow others who WILL follow you back.

It’s all about reciprocity after all.

So how do you know?

Easy.  Just go to the section with the people you’re following — and everyone who has the “private message” sign next to their name is following you.  Anyone who doesn’t have that sign is not following you back.

Now don’t go and unfollow them all right then and there. You usually start looking in the newest area, and so they may not have had time to follow you back yet.  But if it’s been a couple of weeks, you may want to unfollow them.

There’s also a cool tool that makes the whole manageing followers thing even easier:

http://dossy.org/twitter/karma

Just be aware that it will take a while until the thing loads.  A LONG while.  Be patient.  It’s worth it.

Because once it’s loaded, you’ll see all the people you follow and all those who follow you — specially marked, and you can instantly tell which relationships are mutual and which ones are one-sided, and you can take efficient remedial action.

You can unfollow all those who are not following you back. Though yhou may want to make an exception for the more recent additions and also certain people whom you follow because you’re interested in what they have to say — or you want to nurture a relationship with them.  Give them some time….

And then, just as efficiently, you can follow all those who are following you whom you haven’t followed back.

Just add a check mark next to their name and click the “bulk follow” button at the bottom of the screen.  For unfollowing people, do the same thing and hit the “bulk unfollow” button.  Make sure you’re doing this in two separate go-arounds!

One thing you should know: it won’t show what you did until you come back later.  However, once you get back to Twitter, you’ll see the difference immediately.

So if you want to make room for more people you can follow, just go to Twitter Karma and take care of it in minutes…

Twitter Strategies: How to Make The Most of Twitter

April 13th, 2009

Hi,

Twitter has become quite the power player lately.  And yet, sometimes it can seem more than a bit overwhelming. So how can you work with Twitter and actually make it bring results beyond “just” meeting interesting people?

It’s not all that different from the offline world, except that you have access to much larger numbers.

What to do?

Build relationships.  Meet cool people and establish a relationship with them.  Retweet their stuff, respond to what they ‘re writing about, etc.

Sell, but only a little.

Every dozen or so tweets, feel free to mention what you have for sale.  But otherwise, keep it helpful and/or friendly.

How to keep up with your friends?  Without fancy extra applications?

Respond to them or Favorite one of their posts.  That’llhelp you find their name quickly.  Then click on their name and see what they chatted about recently.  If anything is something you can relate to, respond.

Of course, it helps if you have followers who actually are interested in the stuff you’re likely to talk about.  How to do that?

Be as clear about what you’re all about as you can.  And find kindred spirits on Twitter and follow their followers (and maybe those they follow). You can build a list of kindred spirits in a big hurry.

Want more tips? Leave some comments… and I’ll write more :-)

Twitter News: Connie Green’s Power Blogging Challenge

April 10th, 2009

And my Favorite Web Stuff Blog is participating in the Connie’s Blogging Challenge.  I knew I had to do SOMETHING to get my behind in gear, and realized that this would be it.  I simply HAD to get myself to start posting here regularly.

And considering that I’m now doing consulting on how to set up stuff and people pay me good money for it, and appreciate my help, I figured I better start doing what I preach on my own blogs too.

Especially this one.

My Self-Help Blog has been going a bit stronger — and feel free to go check that out:

http://www.MyFavoriteSelfHelpStuff.com

But it’s time to share tips and informaiton as well as recommendations RIGHT HERE.

By way of update: A LOT has changed. I’ve got a bunch of websites and products in the funnel that are getting ready to come online.

One of them, my http://www.IMTimeMastery.com time management course (licensed from my favorite internet marketing/personal growth guru) is up now.

While I’ve still got a tiny challenge with a couple of the (many) video files, I’m sorting it o out now, and if you buy it anyway you’ll get all sorts of bonuses because I’m trying to make up for my bad conscience and your inconvenience.

And I’ve finally set up TWO new cool newsletters with sign-up pages:

http://www.SaveMoneyAllYear.com

(check out the video) and

http://www.IMTimeManagement.info

And because Connie’s challenge wants that we post every day and make up for days we’ve missed, I’ll leave it at that and will tell you more about both programs and my newest discoveries and learning lessons in my next post.

Elisabeth

P.S.:  If you aren’t already, please follow me on Twitter, and you may want to follow Connie too!

Directory of Ezines: A Review

March 29th, 2009

The Directory of Ezines is a resource I really wish I had found a whole lot sooner.  How so?

It is exactly what its title says, and it’s also a whole lot more.  It’s a searchable database of ezines — ezines that send their mailings to thousands of readers. Can you imagine the potential if you send them a really enticing ad?

You may have a list already, and so this might not be as crucial to you.  But if you don’t, this can be worth its weight in gold. Heck, even if you do have a list it would be a great resource.

And that’s not all.  I wanted to join a while ago, but at the time, I would have joined as a 1-year member.  I’m glad I waited and joined as a lifetime member because the perks are so worth it!

We get access to unlimited classified ads we can post on the site itself.  We get to post 3 banner ads on their site.  We get to post up to 50 articles in the DOE article directory!  With resource boxes of course.

And we get a wealth of information, including ebooks and teleseminars. And I think there’s some other stuff too.

Best of all, though, we get Charlie Page, the owner of DOE!  He answers questions by email, and if you’re lucky, even by phone.  He has call-in times two days a week, where lifetime members can call him up and ask away.  How cool is that!

So what kind of ezines are in there?

All sorts. Lots on marketing and internet marketing. But many others as well, including on personal growth and health. And the ads are surprisingly reasonably priced (mostly).

But here’s the biggest perk: Many of the publications actually accept articles, so you can offer to send them articles — or just send them, and when they publish them, they might actually be even MORE effective than ads.

As I said, I wish I had joined right long ago. If you would like to check it out, here’s the link:

Canada Summit Internet Marketing Conference Replay!

March 29th, 2009

Internet marketing conferences are most fun when you get to be there live.

But sometimes, that’s just not possible, especially if they’re all the way on the other side of the continent.  And I’ve always wanted to go to Vancouver.  Maybe next time…

So if you haven’t been able to  make it, you may be happy to know that you can still catch the tail end for free by way of UStream.com, and if you want to see the sessions you missed, you can see those too — on replay

Here’s the link:  http://budurl.com/jj4h

Be sure to check it soon, though — the replays are coming down in a few day…  Although I hope they’ll keep them up for a few extra days.  Some of us have to w-o-r-k!

Enjoy!

Improve Time Management, Improve Stress Levels…

March 23rd, 2009

Improved Time Management, especially for Internet Marketers, can be a real productivity boost.  Why do I make it sound like Internet Marketers are epecially challenged by bad time management?

Two reasons:

1: Internet marketing is filled with time-suckers.  Let me count the ways:

a) inbox overflowing with solicitations. Unless you can ignore them, you’re going to be wasting a TON of time.

b) openended trouble-shooting sessions.  ‘Nuff said.

c) Twitter & Co.  Ditto.

d) Warrior Forum & Co.

e) Perfectionism.

f) A never-ending to-do list.

And so on.  And then, there’s another factor:

2) Internet Marketing is full of people with ADD or ADHD. And they’re especially time managemnt challenged.   Imagine what it could do for them if they could improve their time management skills, techniques, and habits.

There’s no end to what they could achieve.

But how to do it?  Well, worry no more. Fortunately, Jason Fladlien has created the Ultimate course in Time Management — especially for Internet Marketers.  And Jason understands what’s the problem. And he addresses all the most common ones, including the one about what to do if you still have a day job.

And as a reader of my blog, you’ll get a special series of secret delayed-release bonuses if you get the time management course now and send me an email in return mail that you bought it through the link on this blog:

Click Here To Check Out The Time Management Course!

Dont think you need it?  Keep track of your hours and productivity for a week and see how it checks out.  Then, check back with me again…

Have a VERY productive day,

Elisabeth

Affiliate Marketing Step-by-Step Taught By a True Master

March 5th, 2009

Affiliate Marketing how-to step by step?  Part of me doesn’t want to tell you about this one since I wanted to teach you the ins and outs of affiliate marketing myself.

But that would be cheating.  Because Jimmy D. Brown, one of my favorite internet marketers and personal mentors has just started a new Membernaire-type program, this one, guess what: Affiliatenaire.

Okay, so not that inventive, or maybe just a pattern.  But the program rocks!  And I guess, that -naire thing is branding. I’m sure he bought all the -naire names of everything he is planning to do in the next several years.

Is it good?  Everything Jimmy D does is good.  Very good.  Outstanding even.

So yes, this is great.  It’s a bit more basic than what I personally need — actually I know a ton about that subject already, having my own affiliate program, installing them for my clients, and so on and so forth.  But I still have room to grow and get more successful at it.

But the real reason I signed up:  there are bonuses that are worth the price of this course several times over — if they can even be bought at all, which they can’t, at least not easily, if at all.

Some personal coaching, a special 4 week course only for people who sign up for this course, and more. I couldn’t resist.

And so Jimmy will teach everyone in babysteps how to create a true income with just affiliate marketing.

So here goes…

If YOU have any ambitions in that direction — and you should — you owe it to yourself to check this out.  Affiliate marketing, if done right, can be truly autopilot income after a while.  And so, yes, if you’re interested, go here:

http://www.affiliate-marketing-step-by-step.com

If you want a completely free course on affiliate marketing, get my free ecourse here:

http://www.webcashhowto.com

And sign up for my article marketing and affiliate marketing ecourse.

Why should you sign up for Jimmy’s course though?  Let me give you just 3 reasons:

1. He knows what he’s talking about.  He gives dynamite information.

2. He serves it up in digestible and actionable chunks.  No information overload and no fluff or irrelevant information. It comes with weekly homework.

3. He overdelivers big-time. He adds in so many bonuses and other free stuff that you get your money’s worth many times over.

4. He’s a really nice guy. Okay, so I added a fourth.

5. And a fifth…  He provides you with products to promote and teaches you how to promote them.  Since these are his products and he’s basically making others pay to be groomed as his affiliates, this is simply genius marketing!

And you know what? I don’t mind one bit.  His products are great, so it’s easy to promote them without fear of recommending crappy stuff.

Anyway, if you’ve always wanted to make (more) money promoting other people’s products, here’s your chance to get the full scoop and learn to do affiliate marketing like the pros.

http://www.affiliate-marketing-step-by-step.com

Have a marvelous day.

Elisabeth

More Online Business How-to Info: My New Year’s Resolution for my Favorite Web Stuff Blog

January 18th, 2009

Happy New Year!  The first month is already half over, and I’m still getting caught up with all the new stuff I want to do.

For starters, I’m going to rejuvenate this blog.

I know, I know, I’ve been neglecting it. And maybe I did because I wasn’t sure what to write and whether anyone actually wanted to read what I had to say.  So I mostly focused on my http://www.MyFavoriteSelfHelpStuff.com blog instead.

And that blog is coming along nicely.  This one…  I guess part of it was that I needed to build up my confidence that I really had something worthwhile to offer.

And guess what?  I finally have that confidence.

Thanks to my Mastermind group especially, and my new clients whom I’ve been helping with their online needs.  I’ve been setting up shopping carts, autoresponders, creating products, affiliate programs, and more.  Whoa!  I can do this!  I even edited web pages and changed payment buttons and links, and uploaded them back to the server, and my clients were thrilled.

I’ve grown about 8 inches in the last month or two. At least in spirit.

But seriously, I know a heck of a lot, and unless you’re a veteran marketer, some or most of the information I will share over the next weeks and months will be useful to you.

So here goes.  What I’ll do is go back to what I REALLY meant to do with this blog: share my favorite web stuff:  info, resources, how-to information, and a heck of a lot more.  It’ll be especially useful for newbies, but also for intermediate level internet marketers.  Because some areas know a whole lot about, including article marketing and affiliate marketing.

And in order not to make this too long and leave plenty of info for the next post, I’ll start with this on my next post, which will appear…

in a day or two (if I remember, which I”m sure I will — because I’ll put a note in my calendar!).

Happy 2009!  And much success!

Elisabeth, also known as Dr. K to her fans and clients ;-)

Make Money Online for Christmas Gifts, And With Less Work Than eBay!

December 9th, 2008

Christmas Cash.  Money for the Holidays.  Gifts for the kids or your loved ones.  So how much have you made online yet?  3 figures? 4 figures?  5 figures?  6 figures?  7?

If you’re less than happy and are feeling just a bit frustrated (or a lot frustrated), I might have something for you.

First, the usual disclaimer:  No guarantees.  Can’t do that. Although if you don’t like it, you’ll get your money back.

And second, you won’t make millions. But you CAN make your car payments, or extra cash for gifts and Holiday decorations.

And yes, it’s WAY easier than eBay.

So what am I talking about?  This:

Go take a look.  You’ve got nothing to lose.  It may even be on sale, depending on when you’re looking.

One warning:

This ebook was written specifically for the U.S.  However, Amazon has subsidiaries in other countries:  Amazon.de, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.co.jp or something like that.  And yes, you may have to make a few adjustments around the edges, but it still works much the same way.

Anyway, please take a look….  And have a happy pre-season.
